Items not allowed in Zimbabwe

President Robert Mugabe’s introduction of strict import controls led to a blockade and protests at the Beitbridge border post on Friday and travellers are still being advised to exercise caution if planning a visit to the area for work or leisure.
Planned protests are expected on Wednesday, 6th July 2016.
Goods in transit to countries like Zambia, DRC are also affected. Please excuse caution when passing through Zimbabwe.
This will have a negative effect on the transportation and logistics business in South Africa.
Below is a list of items that are prohibited‚ highlighting consumer goods that may affect travellers:
Coffee creamers
Baked beans
Potato crisps
Peanut butter
Flavoured milks
Canned fruits and vegetables
Wheelbarrows
Doors and
Windows.
